What is the American Club of Valencia?

Our organization is a non for profit organization and a percentage of the proceeds of the dues and events are generously donated to various organization in the Valencian community.

How many members does the American Club of America have?

The number varies each year depending on various international sporting events held in Valencia which help the membership to grow in members as well as sudents who study abroad.
We have members from Castellon, Alicante as well as the Valencia area, we have helped over hundreds of Americans who have made Valencia a transition spot as a vocation or studies, as well as the many local Americans who have now settled in these communities to raise their children.

Do you have to be from North America to join?

Most of the members are American citizens living in the Valencia community because of work, international studies or personal choice.
But the membership is open to other nationalities as well. Fluent level of English is the only critical criteria required.

What language is spoken at the meetings or events?

All meetings, reunions, gatherings, etc… are held in english.
Most members are bilingual, but we encourage english to be spoken at all events to help our littler members become familiar and fluent with the language even whilst living in Spain.

What are the benefits of being a member?

As a member of the American Club of Valencia, you enter into a community of Americans who have experiences in Spain that can help you not re-invent the wheel. A new member information packet is available to help you get use to your new area.
By regularly attending the social gatherings and meetings, you will have the opportunity to meet people in the similar situation as yourself. People who are willing to share their experiences to help make your transition that much easier while living in Spain.
You are able to have conversations in your native tongue and swap used books, movies, ect in english with other members.
We have play groups oganized for ages from 0 – 10 years of ages for the mothers who want to encourage their babies to hear the english language from birth.
Basic questions about schools, living areas, ect.. can always be answered by those who have gone through the process in the past.
If we are not able to help directly, we can at least guide you to the proper office or people to help.
We host monthly luncheons to help get together and discuss what is new.
We also host Coffee Days once a month, for those may not be able to attend the other meetings but want a quick english conversation once a month.
We celebrate all the American Holidays in order to maintain our tradition while living abroad.
We donate proceeds from the dues and events to different charities in our community in Valencia and will look towards helping organizations in the USA if needed as well.

A monthly newsletter will be e-mailed to you which have all these discounts, dates and locations of the events, ect…
As a paid member you are entitled to free publicity in the montly newsletter for 5 months. And a discount member price if you would like to post and add on our web page.

How much does it cost to be a member?

The Annual Family Membership dues: 20 euros
A Couples Membership dues: 15 euros
A Single Membership dues: 10 euros

What do I need to do to become a member?

To become a member, all you need to do is pay your annual dues. They can be directly deposited in the Bank Account Number below:

Make sure to leave your full name when making the deposit.
Then e-mail us with your personal data: Name, address and contact number, format can be found on the web page. We will start e-mailing you the monthly newsletter once the deposit is confirmed.
